This information was provided by Dave's niece Jerri Lynk shortly after his death on February 8, 2004.
After high school he went into the Navy, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis he was aboard the US Canisteo. When his time in the navy was over he married and raised a family in Batavia, New York and has been there ever since. He worked at the VA hospital, until he retired.
The web pages that he designed were wonderful and I only wished I had known about them before his death. There are more as his daughters have told me this week. This is pretty much all of the information that I have, I have a lot of memories of uncle Dave when we were kids, but as most families as we got older, the visits became less frequent. You can learn a lot about him by reading his web pages.
Dave's web pages include:
Notes about Old Batavia.
An offbeat history of Western New York
A tribute to his ship, the USS Canisteo, and the people he served with during the Cuban missle crisis.
The Really Old Farts of Batavia
